Schaniel Irwin
“Customer Relations” at Soft Touch Furniture means you need to wear an awful lot of hats. After all, we work with a diverse group of customers – restaurants and other eateries; hotels; bars, clubs, and lounges; corporate entities across many industries, and, oh yeah, residential furniture and upholstery customers as well.
So it’s a good thing Schaniel Irwin, our Customer Relations Specialist, can quickly shift gears and problem-solve with the best of them. If you work with Soft Touch on any level, there’s a very good chance you will speak with Schaniel multiple times.
Whether she’s helping sell our products, putting together a quote, invoicing, or coordinating the shipping and receiving, there’s almost no furniture order that she doesn’t get involved in. She even synchronizes builds that involve COM (customer’s own material), ensuring all materials are ready. And in a pinch, she can even sew, a skill which has been utilized here from time to time.
After graduating from high school, Schaniel worked a variety of jobs, none of which had real career appeal to her (not even the pickle farm!) She arrived at Soft Touch eight years ago, and her first three years here saw her move from janitorial work to upholstery/sewing to marketing and customer service, with the last five years focusing on her current position. Her self-taught computer skills, marketing mind, and genuine caring for our customers’ experiences have helped her grow into the confident and effective administrator she is today. But again, she’ll happily sew if needed!
When not at work, Schaniel enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter. She paints, hikes, enjoys building things, “Jeeping” (yup, that’s a thing), exploring, and a million other activities.
