Jeff Kay
Running a furniture manufacturing company takes more than just building great furniture - it takes leadership that keeps every department working together. As Vice President of Soft Touch Furniture, Jeff Kay plays that role every day.
Jeff oversees all departments within the company, monitors day-to-day operations, and ensures production stays on track from the first order to the final delivery. His focus is on ensuring that every team, from the mill shop to upholstery, the spray shop, delivery, and installation, has the support and coordination they need to delight our customers.
Jeff has been with Soft Touch for four years, but his impact has been immediate. His experience in law enforcement taught him the value of discipline, accountability, and strong decision-making, skills he applies now to production management and team leadership. Combined with his education at Youngstown State University (where he remains a proud Penguins supporter), Jeff brings both structure and energy to the company’s leadership team.
Under his guidance, Soft Touch has strengthened its ability to manage complex projects while maintaining a deep focus on quality and efficiency. Whether it’s streamlining workflows, coordinating between departments, or ensuring the customer experience remains at the forefront, Jeff’s leadership helps the entire organization operate smoothly.
Jeff has a desk and an office, but he’s seldom at them. Truthfully, he’s more likely to be found in literally any and every corner of our facility, overseeing and assisting with all aspects of our operations. Customers benefit from his tenacity on every well-built restaurant booth, banquette, or custom piece that leaves our facility.
Outside the office, Jeff enjoys a life that’s as active and well-rounded as his work. He’s an avid golfer, enjoys both hunting and cooking, and, as a natural leader, he also enjoys spending time coaching his kids’ sports teams.
